  1. Preheat oven to 200 °C
  2. Grease baking dish with butter.
  3. Slice potatoes into finger width slices and finely slice the garlic. Layer potato and garlic in baking dish.
  4. Mix the cream, milk, thyme and Cheese in a bowl, season with salt and pepper and pour over potatoes.
  5. Bake in the oven for 1 hour until potatoes are tender and cheese is melted golden brown.
